4DX is a state-of-the-art film technology developed by CJ 4DPLEX that delivers an immersive multi-sensory cinematic experience. It is a new premium screening format that blends conventional cinema with theme park practical effects. The technology incorporates on-screen visuals with motion seats and environmental effects, such as wind, rain, mist, snow, back and leg ticklers, fog, air jets, scents, lightning, and bubbles. The motorized seats are organized in banks of four that shake up and down throughout a film, while the auditorium is packed with a slew of other tricks. The 4DX motion chair moves in sync with the movie scenes, providing a complete immersive experience. The technology is designed to make viewers feel like they are part of the movie, with the environmental effects enhancing the on-screen visuals.
