The 5G UW network uses high band (mmWave) and mid-band (C-band) spectrum to deliver a top-of-the-line 5G experience. The 5G UW icon seen in a smartphones status bar indicates that users are connected to the carriers mid-band (C-band) or millimeter wave (mmWave) 5G network. The sign lets users know that they are on Verizons super-fast 5G network instead of the slower Nationwide 5G network.
