Biotic factors can be defined as the living components that shape up the environment, such as plants, animals, and microorganisms. They play an important role by interacting with the environment, and animals and plants depend on each other for survival. Biotic factors can be categorized into two types: producers and consumers. Producers are organisms that produce their food, such as plants, while consumers are organisms that consume other organisms for food, such as animals. Examples of biotic factors include aquatic plants, fish, amphibians, algae, bacteria, fungi, mushrooms, trees, herbs, shrubs, and every animal. In an ecosystem, it is common that one biotic factor is dependent on another biotic factor to survive.
