A Bluetooth transmitter is a device that enables non-Bluetooth devices to connect to Bluetooth-enabled devices wirelessly. It takes an audio signal from non-Bluetooth devices and converts it into a Bluetooth signal to send wirelessly to a Bluetooth-enabled device. The Bluetooth transmitter connects to a devices analog/digital output and sends a signal to the device that you want to use to control it. For example, a Bluetooth transmitter can enable a TV to stream high-quality sound to speakers or headphones. Bluetooth transmitters use a technology called frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) to convert audio signals into radio waves. The FHSS works by rapidly switching between frequencies to avoid interference from other wireless devices. Bluetooth transmitters are useful for eliminating the requirement for cables and providing greater range and mobility.
