A Class 1 drivers license is not a standard drivers license, but rather a commercial drivers license (CDL) that allows individuals to operate a combination commercial motor vehicle (CMV) with a Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of more than 26,000 pounds and a towed vehicle/unit with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of more than 10,000 pounds.
