A Class G felony is a mid-level felony in the United States federal law, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a maximum fine of $25,000, or both. The maximum term of imprisonment defined within the statute for the offense determines the classes of offenses under United States federal law. Class G felonies are the third-to-the-lowest in the class ranking. In Wisconsin, Class G felonies include numerous drug, violent, and sexual offenses, such as second-offense strangulation, fifth-offense OWI, homicide by negligent use of a firearm or motor vehicle, theft of property worth more than $10,000, and possession of a firearm with a previous felony conviction. In Delaware, stalking is a Class G felony.
