The dinosaur with 500 teeth is called Nigersaurus. It is a long-necked dinosaur characterized by its unusually broad, straight-edged muzzle tipped with more than 500 replaceable teeth. The teeth are arranged in dental batteries, with 68 columns in the upper jaws and 60 columns in the lower jaws. The enamel on the teeth of Nigersaurus is highly asymmetrical, ten times thicker on the outwards facing side than on the inner side. Nigersaurus wore its tooth crowns down faster than other dinosaurian herbivores, and its tooth replacement rate was the highest of any known dinosaur.
