A floorwalker is a senior employee in a large store, usually a department store, who supervises sales staff, directs and assists customers, and resolves complaints and returns. They are responsible for overseeing the salespeople and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their shopping experience. In addition, floorwalkers may be responsible for training new sales staff. They should be readily identifiable, possibly wearing a uniform or badge. Some of the responsibilities of a floorwalker may include managing various carts, assisting guests with groceries, maintaining neat and clean carts, and ensuring an appropriate working environment.
