In Fantasy Premier League (FPL), a Free Hit is a chip that allows managers to make unlimited transfers for one gameweek, and then the following gameweek, the team reverts back to how it was before the chip was played. The Free Hit can be used once a season and is one of the four chips available in FPL, alongside the Wildcard, the Triple Captain, and Bench Boost. The Free Hit is used when confirming transfers and cannot be cancelled once confirmed. Any free transfers that you had already made for that gameweek will be lost, and you will get the standard one free transfer for the following gameweek as your squad returns to normal. The Free Hit chip is particularly useful for short-term gains, allowing managers to make quick decisions with only the next game in mind. It can be used to navigate difficult fixtures, injuries, suspensions, or when postponed fixtures cause issues. The Free Hit chip can also be used to maximize the number of players in a squad who will play twice in a double gameweek.
