Jam is a new feature on Spotify that allows Premium subscribers to create a personalized, real-time listening session for their group to tune into together. It is a collaborative playlist that can be controlled by up to 32 people, whether in-person or virtually. Free users can join and add songs to the Jam, but Premium is needed to start and host a Jam. To start a Jam, Premium listeners can select a playlist or song they want to listen to and click the "Start a Jam" button by clicking the speaker icon at the bottom of their screen or by hitting the three-dot menu within their favorite. Once a Jam is started, Premium listeners can invite a group of friends or family, whether they are Free or Premium users, to share the experience. Jam will help find the perfect songs to add to the queue, finding the overlaps in everyones listening preferences to deliver music recommendations that everyone will love. Premium listeners can join from wherever they are, whether they are in the same room or across the world. Anyone in a Jam can control whats playing on the speaker, and Premium users can personalize music suggestions bringing together their and their friends music tastes and add those crowd-pleasing songs to the Jam.
