A Twitch raid is a feature that allows a streamer to share their community with another creator, inviting their viewers to jump into another streamers channel. When a streamer initiates a raid, everyone on their channel page at the time of the raid is sent to the target channel. Raids are a great way to make connections and network with other broadcasters by sharing audiences and growing communities.

After commencing a raid, the raiders channel will automatically redirect viewers to the new stream. The raided channel is given recognition by way of an on-screen notification, pinning the number of new viewers brought along with the raid. There are two ways to raid another channel on Twitch: informally by typing "/raid" followed by the name of the channel you want to raid, or formally by using the "raid channel" quick action in your creator dashboard.

It is possible to stop a Twitch raid by sending a DELETE request to the Cancel a raid endpoint. It is important to note that raids are not an avenue for meaningful growth, but rather a way to build bridges with other Twitch streamers and their communities.
