The USADA test is a drug test conducted by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to detect and deter the use of banned performance-enhancing substances and methods in sports. The USADA is responsible for administering all the components of the anti-doping program, including the testing and results management processes, for all United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC)-recognized sport National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and their athletes, as well as events. The USADAs testing plan is designed to strategically deter and detect doping in sports with a high risk of potential doping during out-of-competition. The USADA utilizes special analysis testing including, but not limited to, human growth hormone (hGH), erythropoietin (EPO), and Carbon isotope ratio (CIR)/Isotope. The USADAs sample collection process is designed to be a safe process, and as comfortable as possible for athletes, while ensuring that the sample integrity is maintained throughout. The USADA test can include urine samples, whole blood samples, dried blood spot (DBS) samples, serum blood samples, in- and out-of-competition samples, and samples collected from U.S. athletes living and/or training internationally that are collected by other testing entities when the request was made by USADA.
