An Aadhaar enrollment number is a 28-digit unique identification number assigned to each Aadhaar applicant. It is assigned when you apply for an Aadhaar number, which is a unique 12-digit number given to each citizen of India. The first 14 digits of the enrollment number are randomly assigned, while the next 14 digits show the date and time of your Aadhaar enrollment. The enrollment number can be used for various purposes, such as checking the status of your Aadhaar application.

To find your enrollment ID, you can go to the UIDAI website and select "Enrollment ID". Enter your name, mobile number or email address, and captcha. Then click on "Get One Time Password" and enter the OTP received on your mobile number or email address. Finally, click on "Verify OTP" and your Aadhaar enrollment ID will be displayed on the screen. You can also check the status of your Aadhaar card using your mobile phone by sending an SMS.

When you apply for Aadhaar for the first time, you will receive an acknowledgement slip that contains your enrollment number, which is of 14 digits. The enrollment process includes visiting an enrollment center, filling the enrollment form, getting demographic and biometric data captured, submitting proof of identity and address documents, before collecting the acknowledgement slip containing the enrollment ID. Any correction in the enrollment data can be done within 96 hours of enrollment by visiting the enrollment center with the acknowledgement slip.
