An SBI add-on card is an additional credit card issued to family members of an SBI credit cardholder. It allows the primary cardholder to share the benefits of their SBI card with their loved ones. These cards can be issued to the spouse, parents, and children (above 18 years of age) of the primary cardholder. The privileges on the primary card can also be availed on SBI add-on cards unless mentioned specifically.
To apply for an SBI add-on credit card, you can follow the steps mentioned below:
- Login to your sbicard.com account using your User ID and Password
- In the “Services” section, select the Add-on card option
- Enter Add-on cardholder details such as relationship with primary cardholder, name, gender, date of birth, and whether the add-on cardholder resides with the primary cardholder
- Upload self-attested KYC documents of the Add-on cardholder such as current address proof, photo ID proof, and passport size photograph
- Submit the application form and the Add-on SBI card will be delivered to you after approval by the bank
The SBI add-on card can be used for international transactions if the primary card is enabled for international transactions. Fuel surcharge waiver is shared with the primary card. The credit limit offered on the add-on card is up to the credit limit available on the primary credit card. The primary cardholder can monitor the expenses on the add-on credit card easily as the statement provided for the add-on card is sent to them.
It is important to note that the applicant of the add-on card must be related to the primary cardholder, such as children, spouse, or parents. There are no charges for an add-on card.
