Alpine F1 Team is a Formula One constructor that made its debut at the start of the 2021 Formula One World Championship. The team was formerly named Renault F1 Team and owned by the French automotive company Groupe Renault, but was rebranded in 2021 to promote Renaults sports car brand, Alpine, and continues to serve as Renaults works team. The Alpine F1 Team is based at Enstone in Oxfordshire, in the United Kingdom. The team has a rich motorsport heritage, and the Alpine A500 prototype was produced in 1975 to test a 1.5 L V6 turbo engine for the Renault factory team which would eventually debut in 1977. The team signed two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso to replace an outgoing Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon was retained from the 2020 Renault team. For the 2023 season, Esteban Ocon is joined by compatriot Pierre Gasly to form an all-French pairing. The Alpine car uses Renault engines. The team has already achieved a maiden F1 win in Hungary courtesy of Esteban Ocon in 2021.
