An ePortfolio is an electronic collection of evidence assembled and managed by a user, usually on the web. It is a digital collection created by a student of their course-related work, such as essays, posters, photographs, videos, and artwork, and can also capture other aspects of a students life, such as volunteer experiences, employment history, extracurricular activities, and more. An ePortfolio is both about being a product (a digital collection of artifacts) and a process (of reflecting on those artifacts and what they represent) . It is a purposeful collection of sample student work, demonstrations, and artifacts that showcase a student's learning progression, achievement, and reflection on one's existing learning. An ePortfolio has the potential to demonstrate professional and personal growth, exemplify evidence-based practice, and provide a planning space for future professional development needs and experiences. It can allow students to demonstrate learning through reflection, discussion, and assessment activities and provision of evidence.
