An IB school is a school that offers one or more of the four educational programmes developed by the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization. These programmes aim to provide a high-quality and challenging education that develops students knowledge, skills, and sense of purpose, enabling them to thrive throughout their lives and contribute to making the world a better place. The four programmes offered by the IB are:

• Primary Years Programme (PYP): For children aged three to 12, this programme focuses on the development of the whole child, encompassing social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs, as well as academic skills.

• Middle Years Programme (MYP): For students aged 11 to 16, this programme provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills, encouraging students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers.

• Diploma Programme (DP): For students aged 16 to 19, this programme is a comprehensive and rigorous pre-university curriculum that aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, as well as a range of skills and attributes essential for success in higher education and beyond.

• Career-related Programme (CP): For students aged 16 to 19, this programme combines academic subjects with career-related studies and a unique skills development framework, preparing students for further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

To teach these programmes, schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate. The IB organization provides a wide range of services to the schools authorized to administer its programmes, including curriculum connections, building quality curriculum, strengthening leadership of groups and schools, and optimizing assessment analysis.
