An OTP ship is a fans favorite pairing in a given fandom, and the term implies extreme devotion. OTP stands for "One True Pairing". It refers to a fan-made couple that a particular fan prefers over all others, and it is the only pairing that the fan ships amongst those characters. When fangirls or fanboys look at their favorite OTP, they are overwhelmed by so many intense emotions, none of the languages invented by humans is able to express them. The term "shipping" refers to creating a relationship between two characters or people who are not previously romantically linked.
