ARK: Survival Ascended is a 2023 action-adventure survival video game developed and published by Studio Wildcard and Grove Street Games. It is a remake of the 2015 game Ark: Survival Evolved, rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5. The game features more quality-of-life improvements and upgrades than the original game, including improved visuals, character models, and environments. It includes the base game, a remastered version of the Scorched Earth DLC, and the ability to play the Ark battle royale mode. The game also features cross-platform multiplayer and cross-platform modding supported by Overwolf. At launch, it will be available in early access, with DLC content released over time. The game is planned to receive more expansions in 2024, including Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Part 1, and Genesis Part 2, in preparation for the introduction of Ark 2.
