Baitul Muqaddas is another name for Masjid Aqsa, which is located in Jerusalem and is the third most holy place in Islam. It is also known as the House of Holiness. Muslims regard it as the second house of Allah. Before Allah commanded Muslims to face the Holy Kabah, the believers prayed in the Bait ul Muqaddas direction. It is believed that hundreds of Allah’s prophets and companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) rest in peace there. Some scholars believe that Hazrat Adam (AS) first built Bait-ul-Muqaddas, while some assert that Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) built it first. Bait ul Muqaddas is situated in Jerusalem, which is the holy land where it is located. It is the only place on earth where it is believed that all the Prophets of Allah performed Salah in gathering led by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) . Offering one prayer in Masjid Al Aqsa is equivalent to two hundred and fifty prayers elsewhere.
