Baylan Skoll is a character in the Star Wars series Ahsoka, and his true allegiance and plan remain a mystery. He is a former Jedi Knight and General in the Clone Wars who survived Order 66 and learned what became of Anakin Skywalker. Baylan believes that war is "evil" and wants to use immense power to end the vicious, inevitable cycle of war between Jedi and Sith in his own galaxy. He is searching for "the beginning" of the cycle, which he believes can be found on the planet Peridea. Baylans character is one of the most intriguing in the series, and he has been dropping hints throughout the show that act like pieces to a puzzle. In Ahsoka episode 7, Baylan makes some strange decisions regarding himself and his Padawan, Shin Hati, and quietly manages to slip away from the action. In the Ahsoka finale, Baylan is seen walking off alone, overlooking a huge valley on Peridea, and standing near some very important statues. It is not yet clear what Baylan is looking for, but it would seem to have something to do with Mortis and those Force gods.
