BCCI stands for Board of Control for Cricket in India. It is the national governing body for cricket in India, responsible for organizing and controlling all tournaments inside and outside India. The BCCI was formed on December 4, 1928, by a group of players at Delhis Roshnara Club to end the British monopoly in cricket. It is a consortium of state cricket associations that select their own representatives who elect the BCCI president. The BCCI has 30 full-time members and is worth Rs 3,308 crore. Its headquarters is situated at the Cricket center in Churchgate, Mumbai. The BCCI is the wealthiest governing body of cricket in the world, securing its revenue from various sources of income through series sponsors, media broadcasting rights, media rights of the Indian Premier League, and national team sponsors, etc. . The BCCI officials are elected by the representatives of state cricket associations, and it is headed by the president, which is the highest designation in BCCI.
