Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is a Hindu scripture that promotes devotion towards Lord Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu, and is one of Hinduisms eighteen great Puranas. It is a recitation of 18,000 verses of Srimad Bhagwat Katha in 7 days for getting the blessings of Lord Krishna. The text is composed in Sanskrit and traditionally attributed to Veda Vyasa. The Bhagwat Katha is described as “Shoka Moha Bhayapaha”, that which destroys attachment and consequently removes sorrow and fear.

The Bhagwat Katha is considered to be the source of salvation and listening to it is believed to help one attain liberation. It is said to be like a kalpa tree for the salvation of human beings, by which all human desires can be fulfilled. The benefits of listening to the Bhagwat Katha include getting rid of all sorrows, pains, and problems, and becoming free from sins.

Swami ji has held multiple sessions on Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, and it is one of his most favorite scriptures as it embodies in itself the truth of life.
