Suga, whose real name is Min Yoon-gi, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, which he joined in 2013. Suga trained under Big Hit Entertainment for three years as a music producer before debuting as a member of BTS. He has produced and written lyrics for a variety of tracks on all of the bands albums. Suga has released two solo songs under BTS name, "First Love" and "Trivia: Seesaw".

Suga began fulfilling his mandatory military service requirements in South Korea in September 2023. Instead of enlisting in a branch of the countrys military, Suga is working as a social service agent for the next 21 months. It is unclear what job he will perform, but social service personnel often work in welfare centers, community service centers, or post offices. Suga is the third member of BTS to begin his mandatory service, following Jin and J-Hope. All seven group members are expected to complete their service requirements over the next couple of years, with the groups hiatus expected to last through 2025.
