Calcite is a decorative block in Minecraft that was added in the Caves & Cliffs update in June 2021. It has a bright white texture with a somewhat rough-looking exterior, and it is found as part of amethyst geodes. At the moment, calcites role in the game is purely decorative, and it does not serve any significant purposes in-game. However, it is a hard, somewhat blast-resistant, and inflammable building material that can be used to make decent structures. Currently, it is not possible to make stairs, slabs, and walls with calcite, but it could be possible in future updates.
