In Indian trains, CC stands for AC Chair Car, which is an air-conditioned seater coach with a total of five seats in a row used for day travel between cities. The seating arrangement in CC is 3 X 2 seats per row. This coach is generally preferred for day travel and is budget-friendly for the major category of passengers. It is also the most comfortable and air-conditioned coach as far as privacy is concerned in Indian trains. The head car coaches are well-maintained and constantly cleaned by the Indian Railways’ employees. The CC seat prices are usually higher than the lower than third AC coaches, but these are still preferred by many during short distances because of the space and privacy. The CC coach is mostly used in Shatabdi Trains, Garib Rath, and Double Decker.
