CC in engine refers to the engines volume, specifically the swept volume of the engine as a whole, which is the total volume displaced by all the pistons in the cylinders of a piston engine during one complete cycle of a four-stroke engine. It is a measure of engine displacement and is usually expressed using the metric units of cubic centimeters (cc or cm3, equivalent to milliliters) or liters (l or L), or – particularly in the United States – cubic inches (CID, cu in, or in3). CC is a loose indicator of the power an engine might be capable of producing and the amount of fuel it should be expected to consume. In general, a larger displacement engine will put out more horsepower than a smaller one, depending on many factors. Therefore, more cc equals more horsepower/more output.
