In Gmail, CC stands for Carbon Copy. It allows you to send a copy of your email to multiple recipients. The CC field is used when you want your recipients to receive a copy of the original email, but they are not the primary recipients who are required to act in response to your mail. The use of CC depends on email etiquette, which is a set of social guidelines that dictates what’s appropriate (or not) when you’re sending a message to your boss, a colleague, or a customer.

To use the CC feature in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

1. Open Gmail and log in to your account.
2. Click the Compose button to create a new email.
3. In the To field, add the primary recipient.
4. In the CC field, add the email addresses of the recipients you want to send a copy of your email to.
5. Write your email and click Send.

Its important to note that the CC field works exactly like the To field in email. That is, it makes no difference whether you include an email address in the To field or in the CC field - the email is delivered to the recipients, and each of them can view the others email address.
