CET stands for Central European Time, which is a standard time zone that is one hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+01:00) . It is used in most parts of Europe and in a few North African countries. CET is also known as Middle European Time (MET) in German. Some countries that use CET include Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Vatican City. During daylight saving time, some places switch clocks for one hour forward and observe Central European Summer Time (CEST) .
