Examples of clusters with three consonant sounds include /str/ in string, /sks/ in tasks, and /kst/ in sixty. Examples of clusters with four consonant sounds in a row include /ksts/ in texts and /mpst/ in glimpsed. Consonant clusters can be found at the beginning, middle, or end of words. They are different from consonant digraphs, where two letters make one sound.
