Control and coordination in animals are provided by nervous and muscular tissues, while chemical coordination is seen in both plants and animals. The nervous system is the system of conducting tissues that receives the stimulus and transmits it to other parts of the body forming a network. Hormonal control in animals is provided by hormones, which are biogenetic organic materials of low molecular weight secreted directly into the blood in very little amount showing distant effect acting indirectly through either cell organelles or the enzyme system.

In summary, control and coordination are essential for the proper functioning of an organism and the regulation of different functions of different systems. They are important for an organism to adapt to changes and perform important functions like metabolism, homeostasis, and more.
