Coroplast is a brand name of corrugated plastic and a registered trademark of Coroplast, LLC, a member of the Inteplast Group of companies. It is a lightweight, non-toxic, waterproof, shockproof, and long-lasting material that resists corrosion. Coroplast is produced with Cartonplast technology developed by Covema in 1974. The name "Coroplast" is actually registered to Coroplast, LLC but the industry has picked it up and now uses it as a generic term for corrugated plastic. Coroplast is used for a variety of applications, including signs, reusable packaging, and temporary outdoor signs such as election signs and real estate signs. It is also used in the construction industry for protecting large areas, such as floor protection mat, ceilings, toilet partitions, temporary windows and doors, and resting shelter. Coroplast sheets can be modified with additives, which are melt-blended into the sheet to meet the specific needs of the customer, such as UV protection, anti-static, flame retardant, and custom colors. Coroplast is available in different sizes and thicknesses, and it is sold by independent distributors.
