Crossover at Kinnick is an exhibition womens college basketball game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the DePaul Blue Demons. It is held at Kinnick Stadium, which is an outdoor football stadium with a capacity of 69,000 seats. The event aims to break the all-time womens basketball attendance record. The first Crossover at Kinnick was held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, and it raised roughly $250,000 for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. The game had an attendance of 55,646, which is the highest for a single game in womens basketball history. The previous record was 29,619, in the national championship of the 2002 NCAA tournament between UConn and Oklahoma at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The event was broadcast on BTN. The general admission seats were available for $5 each, and the reserved seats were sold out. If the event was moved to Carver-Hawkeye Arena due to inclement weather, Iowa Athletics would accommodate only those who purchased a $20 Rain or Shine event ticket. Tickets for Carver-Hawkeye Arena would be general admission, and parking passes for vehicles and buses in lots closest to Kinnick could be purchased in advance.
