Walt Disney World celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021, with an 18-month-long celebration called "The Worlds Most Magical Celebration". The celebration lasted until March 31, 2023. The event included new attractions, food, merchandise, and entertainment across all four Disney World theme parks. Some of the highlights of the celebration included:

• Disney Enchantment: A new nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom created for the 50th anniversary.

• Golden character sculptures: 50 beloved Disney characters were featured in golden sculptures across the four Walt Disney World theme parks.

• New food and drinks: Over 150 new food items and drinks were introduced during the celebration.

• MagicBand+: A new MagicBand+ was introduced, which allowed guests to interact with the golden character sculptures and play the Fab 50 Quest on the Play Disney Parks app.

• Anthem: Disney commissioned an anthem just for the celebration titled "The Magic is Calling".

The celebration ended on March 31, 2023.
