Drake is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor, born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He is biracial, with his father being African American and his mother being Jewish-Canadian of Latvian Jewish and Russian Jewish descent. Drake has referred to himself as a black man in interviews. However, he has also faced criticism from some in the African-American community for not being "black" enough, due to his music being as much pop as hip hop and promoting a soft image.
