The Boeing Dreamlifter is a wide-body cargo aircraft that is primarily used for transporting large aircraft parts. It is a modified version of the Boeing 747-400 airliner, with a volume of 65,000 cubic feet, which is three times that of a 747-400F freighter. The Dreamlifter was first rolled out in Taiwan in September 2006 and underwent flight testing in Seattle. It has a main cargo compartment with a volume of 1,840 cubic meters and a maximum payload capacity of 113,400 kg, which allows it to carry Dreamliner parts that are too big for conventional shipping means.
