eClinicalWorks (ECW) is a Massachusetts-based company that sells electronic medical record (EMR), practice management, and personal health record software and services to healthcare providers. ECW primarily targets physician practices and allows physicians to view and use as much or as little personal wellness data, with the patients consent, as they want. The ECW Electronic Health Records (EHR) system is a platform- and device-agnostic suite of cloud-based tools that include big data and telehealth visits. The EHR suite supports meaningful use stage 1 and stage 2, and many of the features within the suite can be configured on a per-provider basis. ECW also offers a Care Coordination Medical Record (CCMR), a web-based, dynamic, and highly cross-functional platform for population health management and coordinated care. ECW has over 115,000 physicians spanning across 70,000 facilities in the United States. It is important to note that ECW is not related to Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), which was a professional wrestling promotion and media company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
