EPS nomination is a process of assigning a nominee who will receive the pension funds in case of the members death. EPS stands for Employee Pension Scheme, which is a retirement savings plan that applies to all registered EPF employees. EPS applies only to the employees for whom both the employer and employee contribute to the EPF account every month. All EPF members are automatically enrolled in the EPS scheme, and the nominee for the PF account will receive the EPS amount. EPS nomination can be made online by logging into the EPFO website through the employees Universal Account Number (UAN) . The EPS nomination process can be completed by following the below steps:
- Visit the EPFO Member e-Sewa Portal.
- Enter the UAN and password and click the Sign in button.
- Under the Manage tab, select the E-nomination option.
- Click on Enter new nomination on the next page.
- The members profile details will appear. Click on the Proceed button.
- Fill in the nominee details and click on the Save button.
- Review the details and click on the Submit button.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the Submit button.
- Once the nominee request is made, you will see the pending nominee status. Check the nominee details and e-sign your nomination form.
- Click on the e-sign option and enter your Aadhaar number. Click the Get OTP option. Enter the OTP in the required field and click on the Submit option.
- Your EPS e-nomination is now complete.
EPS nomination can be done online only, and no physical document submission is required once the EPS nominee declaration is complete.
