Fontaine is a nation in the game Genshin Impact, one of the Seven Nations of Teyvat, and is associated with the Hydro Archon Foçalors. The region is inspired by France, specifically the European country during the period known as Belle Époque. Fontaine is well-known for its artistic scene and sense of fashion, which can be seen in the magic show of Lyney and Lynette and in Navia’s clothing, for example. In its art design, Fontaine incorporates many steampunk elements, such as an abundance of cogs moving mechanical creations, and draws some inspiration from the Industrial Revolution in France. Visually, Fontaine is inspired by the Baroque and Art Deco styles, while its geography is in part based on that of the Alps. The region is also known for its legal system, which is notoriously complicated, and its forward thinking and advancement in the arts. Getting to Fontaine is rather easy, as a new teleport waypoint opens up automatically in Sumeru’s desert, in the top right corner, and from there players can head down to a Waverider station, summon it, and sail over to Fontaine’s port.
