Form 27D is a certificate of collection of tax at source under sub-section (5) of section 206C to be furnished by the collector. It is a certificate under section 206C of the Income-tax Act, 1961 for tax collected at source. The certificate is proof that the collector has collected the tax and paid the same to the government, and it is essential for the collectee to claim the credit of tax in their Income Tax returns. Form 27D is one of the income tax return forms to declare Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and has to be submitted to the Income Tax Department. The certificate can be printed for a party by selecting a party ledger or multiple parties using Multi-form printing.
