A gangplank is a movable bridge or platform used in boarding or leaving a ship at a pier. It is a flat plank or small, movable, bridgelike structure for use by persons boarding or leaving a ship at a pier. The term "gangplank" is also used in the context of the principle of management known as "gang plank". According to this principle, two managers working at the same level can communicate with each other directly for quick communication.
