Ghostwriting is the process of writing a piece of content under someone elses name. A ghostwriter is a professional freelance writer who pens a text that is credited to someone else. Ghostwriters can write a number of works on behalf of a client, including non-fiction or fictional books, journalistic or literary works, blogs, podcast or video scripts, e-books, song lyrics, speeches, news stories, and magazine articles. Celebrities, executives, participants in memoirs, and political leaders may also make use of ghostwriters for written material. The author takes full credit for the work that the ghostwriter produces, and the ghostwriter remains anonymous due to a confidentiality clause in the contract between the author and writer.
