The Green Olympiad is an annual written examination on environment conducted by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) . It is a school-based initiative designed to test the knowledge of students in the field of environment and create awareness about environmental issues. The journey of Green Olympiad started in 1999 as Indias premier environment quiz for school students and has since then incorporated several stages of initiatives at TERI in the field of sustainability transformation to establish itself as an Environment Education brand. The Olympiad is designed for students of Std. 4–12 and reaches out to nearly 2000 schools annually in India and abroad. The overall objective of this initiative is to sensitize and build the capacity of students on environment, sustainability, and green skills. The registration for Green Olympiad 2023 is closed, and the examination date is on 2nd November 2023.
