GRH stands for Group Residential Housing, which is a state-funded income supplement program in Minnesota that pays for room-and-board costs for low-income adults who have been placed in group settings or who live independently. The program is designed to help people with low income who have a disability or are elderly to pay for housing in certain locations. The program was renamed Housing Support in 2017 to reflect the fact that not everyone receives this support in a group setting, but might live in independent apartment units or shared housing where residents have their own rental leases, have the option to prepare their own food, and get supportive services, like getting a unit set up with furniture and household supplies, employment services, or health-related services, like help to prepare and administer medications.
