Hard iced tea is an alcoholic version of iced tea that usually has an alcohol-by-volume (abv) between 4% and 8%. It is made by fermenting sugar or grain water, which has had much of its flavor removed, and then blending it with iced tea. Hard iced tea is often flavored with lemon or other fruits, or blended with lemonade. Twisted Tea, made by Boston Beer Company, is one of the most popular brands of hard iced tea and comes in a variety of flavors and sizes. Other brands of hard iced tea include Lipton Hard Iced Tea, which is made with real brewed Lipton tea and comes in four flavors, and Cape May Brewerys Shore Tea. Fishers Island Lemonade Spiked Tea, Owls Brew, and Tattersalls Whiskey Peach Tea are other brands of hard iced tea.
