HDCP is designed to protect copyrighted content from being copied or distributed without permission. If you plan on creating and sharing videos of your gaming exploits on your PS5, HDCP will impact you.

Disabling HDCP on your PS5 can make your PS5 faster and reduce input lag, which can be beneficial for gaming. However, turning off HDCP will prevent you from using many of the streaming services that are available on PS5.

To disable HDCP on your PS5, go to Settings, then System, then HDMI, and then disable HDCP. If you have any games running, you will need to exit those games, and the screen might go black temporarily as HDCP is disabled.
