HLTV rating is a statistical performance metric developed by HLTV that serves as an indication of players performance and has been an important feature within the Counter-Strike community since its introduction. It is used in pro matches to measure player performances and takes various stats into account, including kill rating, survival rating, impact rating, KAST rating, and damage rating. The HLTV rating system has evolved over time, with Rating 1.0 being introduced in 2010 and Rating 2.0 being introduced in 2017. Rating 1.0 was based on the number of kills per round, the survival rate of a player per round, and the amount of multikills a player got, which is known as the impact rating. Rating 2.0 added two new factors, Kill/Assist/Survival/Traded (KAST) and Average Damage per Round (ADR), along with a changed impact rating. Leetify Rating is a newer rating system that distinguishes between the importance of kills and rewards/punishes players accordingly.
