Jada Pinkett Smith is an American actress, singer, businesswoman, and talk show host. She is best known for her roles in The Matrix sequels and the Madagascar animated film franchise. She first attracted attention after joining the Bill Cosby television series A Different World in 1991 and was launched to stardom with her role in the Eddie Murphy comedy The Nutty Professor. In addition to being in front of the camera, she has spent time behind it directing music videos. She is also co-host of the Facebook Watch talk show Red Table Talk. Together with her husband Will Smith, she has created the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation in Baltimore, Maryland, a charity that focuses on youth in urban inner cities and family support.
