KAST is a metric used in VALORANT and other games like CS:GO to calculate the contribution of each player per round based on the number of rounds they played. KAST stands for Kills, Assists, Survived, and Traded. If a player gets a kill, an assist, survives, or dies and gets traded within 5 seconds every round, their KAST will be 100%. KAST is expressed as a percentage, and it is calculated by dividing the total rounds where a player had an impact by the total number of rounds played.

KAST is used to evaluate player impact and performance, and it is best used alongside other measures of performance for a more rounded picture of a player. It is important to note that KAST only reflects on the server impact, and it does not take into account other factors like an IGLs perfect read and call that wins their team a round.
