The Las Vegas Sphere is a music and entertainment arena located just off the Las Vegas Strip and east of the Venetian resort in Paradise, Nevada). It is a spherical structure designed by Populous and is the largest spherical structure in the world). The project was initially a partnership between the Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) and Las Vegas Sands Corporation, with the latter contributing the 18-acre site for the project). The Sphere is a revolutionary venue that offers immersive shows, concerts, and events like never before. It is scheduled to open in 2023 and is expected to mark a tectonic shift in live entertainment.

Some key features of the Las Vegas Sphere include:

• Dome: The dome of the Sphere alone weighs 13,000 tons and has a surface area of 220,000 square feet. It uses six million pounds of steel and is made up of hundreds of triangles that interlock to create a 360° exoskeleton.

• Exterior: The exterior of the Sphere consists of 580,000 feet of programmable LEDs that can display up to 256 million colors. The building is bright enough to be seen from space.

• Interior: Inside the Sphere, there is a high-resolution LED screen that wraps halfway around the 17,600-seat arena. It is the largest LED screen on earth.

The Las Vegas Sphere is expected to host a variety of events, including concerts, sporting events, and other live performances. It is also home to a spherical studio facility that produces content in association with the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix).
